35. 2002 TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS     12-4 (3-0)

Defense, defense, defense. Tampa Bay's offensive rankings were even worse than those of the 2000 Ravens. But the Bucs' defense was tops in the league in points, yardage and intimidation (this team actually allowed fewer points than the famed '85 Bears). It scored three touchdowns in the Super Bowl – one more than Oakland's offense. OK, so the running game was minimal (Michael Pittman, anyone?), but underrated quarterback Brad Johnson was No. 3 in the NFL in passer rating, with 22 touchdowns and just six interceptions, and Keyshawn Johnson topped 1,000 receiving yards for the fourth time.

We're actually rated behind teams that lost in the super bowl  [banghead]

In my eyes, it's the greatest Super Bowl ever. Why? Because after 25 damn years of rooting for them, the finally won it!

I remember when I thought Gruden was actually turning around the offense at the end of that season.

He was.  Damned if I know what happened since then though.  Unless, of course, the answer is: that Indy game.  *sob*

that's hilarious!

...and I can see like the 1978 Cowboys since they were loaded but we're one spot behind the 1984 Dolphins for God's sake.

Everyone is entitled to a worthless opinion.  This is I believe where the statement "Statistics are for losers" came from...

Hmmm?  did Dalbuc fart?   Actually I wasn't referring to you but the writers of the article... Nice to see you still don't consider objectivity as one of your strong points...  Cheer up dalbuc one day the NFL will come calling asking you to be a GM!! LOL

I think it's insulting that we were behind the 2003 Pats, who won all their games by the skin of their teeth.  Sure, the Dynasty, yadda yadda yadda, but taken one year at a time the 2002 Bucs were a much better team than the 2003 Pats.

You guys no were not behind no teams that lost.. There has been 40 Superbowl winners and there saying we are the 35th best out of 40..

I still think this sucks, because that team dominated and should be in the top 20 if anything,  much less top 10..

Bucs-Lightning already World Champions. Rays Next!!!
