Freeman's decision making be worked on at the next level, QBs aren't all great decision makers hell Brett Favre is worst decision maker of All-Time and he's easily one the top QBs to ever play the game...His physical tools IMO give him a leg up on the other two at the next level. McCown isn't the best decision maker either but those type of skills develop through playing time. I would not be upset if we pick Freeman at 19. McCown, Freeman and Johnson would all be at the same level going into Training Camp because of the new offense, to me there wouldn't be a huge difference between all three if they were to go into Training Camp and compete for the starting job.

I hope to see the Broncos to draft QB at 12 and to trade Cutler to Bucs for the 19th.

I have a strong feeling this guy will be a bust.  The thing that is often overlooked at QB is the intangibles and improvisation ability.  Can he read coverages well, can he scramble for a first down when he needs to, can he bide time to make a big play in the pocket, can he audible correctly, can he bait a CB into doing the wrong thing, can he minimize INTs to manage a tight game? I feel like he might be a workout warrior, but given his mediocre stats against mediocre competition, I feel like he doesnt have the intangibles necessary to flourish.  I might be wrong, but that is what my gut tells me.

there are a lot of QB's that can throw a 25 yard out in a t-shirt.

Gametime, your criticism for Freeman, and your love for McCown annoys me. Please do not question his arm strength. I respect your opinion, but that is not even debatable if you have seen the guy play.

What he meant, is everybody looks good in shorts.  There's a lot more to being a good prospect than throwin out routes in a T-Shirt on your own pro day...

Riiiiiiiiight...But, there aren't alot of QB's that can throw 60yds in the air, while running and having to throw across their bodies...

Edit: Accurately

LMAO.  Nobody questioned Freeman's arm strength.

This is where Freeman has to be impressive, because the film hurts him.

Freeman and Josh Johnson are the same guy.  Not NFL starters IMO...  I hope for the best in Luke but if he's a franchise QB you couldn't have kept him off the field and not backing up....  They blew out the best HC in Buc history because he didn't draft or acquire a franchise QB, so why the hell would they go with a career backup and/or a QB in the first round of a very weak QB class?  If they take a QB with 19 then this team is doomed.

LOL, Freeman is everything JJ wishes he was.  That being said, you don't take a QB at 19 from a suspect draft class when you have undeveloped talent in the stable...

Josh Freeman physically has the tools you need....Josh Johnson has the mental ability

Freeman yes has a great arm and is tall but his knock is reading defenses and throwing into traffic

Josh Johnson might not be '6 and have a golden arm but he has the football smarts and I will take that anyday

Freeman reminds me a whole lot of Jamarcus Russell

For loose clarification...

Freeman = Brett Favre
Johnson = Joe Montana

Freeman's arm is huge, and he's reckless.

Johnson is very accurate and smart.

They're two completely different players.  Just because they're fast, black quarterbacks doesn't make them the same player.

ROTFLMAO!  Those two are nowhere NEAR Favre and Montana!
