Rebuilt? For the entire United States?...or world for that matter.. That would take years. It's not like we have a whole bunch of them just lying around. And you can't just crank them out on an assembly line, they take some labor to make.

I think if you told most people what could happen if we get a repeat of the Carrington Event, they would be shocked at how devastating it could be to life on this planet.

So, it's more than just interesting. It's a bit unnerving for some folks. And something we can plan for with alternative ways of getting our energy.

Look what happened to New Orleans after only 5 days!

Think about this...
After 1 day, water will cease coming out of the tap. Without electricity, there is nothing to pump the water through the mains.
-Phones and communications would cease to operate.
After 3 days, hospital generators will stop working. Healthcare will cease.
After 1 week, cars will stop working since there will be no electricity to power the gas pumps.

The economy of every city will grind to a halt. Anyone that depends on medication (diabetics, heart medications, etc..) will be in very serious trouble. Looting and crime will be off the charts. Emergency services would completely break down. Notice how people today spend money? Through their debit cards and credit cards. With no power, banks won't be working. How much cash do you carry on hand? What do you do for food or water? How do you protect your house from a break-in?

1 week without power and western society will completely collapse into chaos. Imagine 1 month or even 1 year without power. It's not going to be pretty.

Oil also....The National Petroleum reserve only has enough oil for 3 months. You know, the reserve Pelosi and the Democrats wanted to empty during rise in gas prices? With people like that at the helm, I have no optimism at all. Which is why so many people these days are buying guns, generators, and stocking up on food. Our government leaders right now are total jokes.
