What are you exactly pizzed about?  Dude is not COMPLAINING about his money.  Where did he say that?

He deserves every penny of that cash.  If he had a QB with a bigger arm, he might have had two or three more TDs, and about 300-400 more yards.  As is, Garcia fed him quite well, and he went out and did a hellacious job.

I fail to see why you are griping, when Bryant is simply expressing some consternation about the offense with nobody QBs, and a an offense that really has no solid definition.  Once again, wouldn't you be?

I didn't say it was "cancerous " all I'm saying you were not in football year before last season and now you are franchised (like you are the only one in the game) and are getting PAID 9.4 and it isn't fair the coach got fired and the QB is not proven but maybe if he had a QB that throw more than 10 yard down the field maybe the Bucs would have offered more during contract talks.  Maybe A discount for us giving you another chance to play for money would have been in order.

Bryant is paid like a top 5 wideout.  Deservedly so.  He was franchised because the Glazers have no money to give, IMO.  He would likely want a bonus, and there would be teams DROOLING to land this cat.  Bryant may not replicate his success, or maybe he gets better.  But the guy is a great wideout, and he is finally a legit #1.  I am glad he is the #1 in Tampa.  I will be happier when the Bucs lock him up for 3 or 4 years, so I can stop worrying about the status of my favorite team.

So this is a story because why?  All players hate the franchise tag because there is no security, no guarantee that they will have a job beyond this year.  One injury and there is no future for their family.  Almost every player who gets the tag complains about it.

Actually, when you think about it, we're not. i think AB's biggest issue with the tender is that he isnt getting paid anything right now. The only monies paid during the offseason are roster bonuses and maybe small stipends tied to offseason participation. His tender actually gets spread over the 17 weeks of the regular season. Thats one of the reasons his agent whined so much after he got slapped with the it.

And no he may not have been a top 5 receiver, but I would rank his performance over the second half of the season with anyone on that list.

He's practiced with McCown, so he may very well be concerned...

So far we have had nothing but voluntary workouts. Even if they have tossed the ball around some maybe we should wait until they have a few actual practice sessions or install periods before we jump to conclusions.

If a couple months from now AB is quoted as saying " Luke is a dbag, JJ is my dawg" or "Damn i miss Jeff", then yes, we have a problem.

The guy is a horse, and any down numbers this upcoming season with an unproven QB and run-oriented offense won't hurt his chances for some big money.(well, maybe from the Bucs..lol...)

I say he'll have plenty of opportunities this season, maybe more than last season if this run offense is successful.

All Antonio knows of Luke is what he saw five years ago in Cleveland and what he saw in that week of practice leading up to Atlanta.

Personally, I think Antonio's more ticked off the Bucs didn't give him a long term deal and just franchised him.  His numbers won't be as good this year simply because the team has more weapons, plus the uncertain situation at quarterback - its going to cost him some money.

His stats will probably be slightly less this year than last, but I don't expect the drop off to be too much. He'll still be the #1 receiver.
 
All he needs to do is prove that last year wasn't a fluke. That's it.
Last year he had 1200 yards. This year, even if he only approaches 1000 yards, I think his stock will stay up and he'll do just fine in free agency.
