Hey Cville - I am beginning to wonder about what has been done as well - and folks were being totally honest they would admit they are quietly thinking WTF as well.  Two firsts and a nothing qb - yea - the buccs could have matched or beat that - does anyone even know if the buccs made an offer - let alone what it was?

I love how everyone is conveniently forgetting the 3rd round pick the Bears sent as well.  I guess facts just make it harder to work yourselves into a tizzy over this.

Say we give up a 1st and 3rd this year and a 1st and probably a 2nd next year to top the Bears' offer.  Are you really comfortable not picking until Day 2 this year and Round 3 next year, all for a QB who has yet to have a winning season as a starter?

Two firsts a third and - and an nothing qb - cancel out one first rounder bc you just got a pro bowl qb age 25.  So the sweetener is a first next year, and a third this year - and the buccs couldn't beat that?  Hell - getting Cutler would cancel out the first day picks.

higher 1st-round pick than we can offer
higher 3rd-round pick than we can offer
a QB with more starts than any of our young QBs

so yeah, blame the current front office because the previous regime didn't suck enough to give us the ammo for this trade. would you suggest next year's second or third rounder, 4 picks that a team aims to land starters with, to make this deal happen?

i actually believe this deal will make both teams worse 5 years from now.  both organizations decided to fiddle was something that really wasn't broken.

dbuc - realistically what offer would trump 2 1sts, a 3rd, and orton?

Two #1s, a #3 and Kyle Orton is a LOT to give for one player.

bye bye

Guess that's what makes the boards so great ... cause I'd be pissed if they gave all that up for that piece of garbage!

Yeah, it's always best to give up on something before the first snap. Glad the players don't approach things that way.

Hasta la bye-bye, dude. Think about it - Lovie's on the line this season - they're history if they aren't in the playoffs this year. This was a win now move...the Bucs are rebuilding, you need draft picks to rebuild and maybe we just need to accept that.

However, if you can't take that and have to move on, good luck to you with your new team.
