The Lions might actually have more talent than the Bucs.   Coach Gruden worked wonders for last year's Buc team to win 9 games.   Gruden isn't here to work his magic this year.   So 0-16 isn't completely out of the question.  Unlikely?  sure.   But not impossible.

So you'd rather keep Gruden and the old regime around to coach up some mediocre talent to 9-7 rather than try to fix the system that keeps bringing in mediocre players?

Actually, the team needed to be rebuilt in 2007 after that 2006 disaster.  But Gruden wasn't provided that luxury.   This town was ready to run him out of town on a rail if he didn't win in 2007.  They didn't want any part of rebuilding that year.   Gruden really had no choice but to field retreads that year.   Had the Glazers said "Jon, go ahead and rebuild, we are keeping you on regardless of the fan displeasure" we'd already have the team rebuilt and on the way to a superbowl.    I blame the last 2 years of retreads more on the fans than anything else.

2003 and 2004 were years with cap problems. 2006 we had injuries and QB problems. It is also when the Glazers started getting cheap because they wanted to acquire Manchester United.
