Im more pissed that a LAST place team like New Orleans gets 2 MNF games and a prime time saturday night game.   Who the F are the New Orleans Saints?   What have they done as a franchise EVER?

Come on, the Saints have been media darlings since Katrina and you know it.

The Saints have won their Division only THREE times in 32 years!!!    The Bucs have won their division 3 times in the last six years!   Why do the Saints get 2 MNF games and a prime time game when that Franchise has accomplished absolutely nothing since its existence.

YEAH, mediocre. One guy rushed for 1000 yards last year and had the highest YPC. Other guy is a top 5 TE, and Bryant only had 1200 yards and had 200 yards and two TDs on national TV last year. No ones, you guys are getting so desperate it isn't even funny

The only one even close to being a household name is Winslow.  And people usually don't clamour to watch a TE on TV.  Ward was part of a RB by committee, whereby Brandon Jacobs got all the media exposure.  Antonio Bryant is still a nobody to most fans outside of Tampa or Dallas.

Is it accurate?  Probably not.  But it's the business.  You have to realize that people outside of Tampa don't know and don't give a crap about anyone on the Bucs.  There are no Peyton Mannings, Ray Lewis', or Randy Moss type talents on this team.

Reggie Bush may be an inferior back, but he gets great fan support.  Drew Breese was 2008 Offensive Player of the Year.  What do we have to offer in comparision???  From a ratings stanpoint, nothing really.

1000 yards and a high ypc behind that giants line?  Big whoop.  Those holes were huge.  Watch him struggle this year.

Top 5 TE?  Since when is even the top TE in the league a big star?   MAYBE Tony Gonzalez might be a big ticket item, but nobody else.

Bryant prospered in Gruden's system.  Gruden's gone.   He'll struggle.

LOL at the great Gruden system.......

I understand they aren't "super" stars but they are names. Whether Java wants to say it or not, more names than Gruden and Allen brought to this team. I could care less about Prime Time games, they mean nothing and I don't see any reason why we have to have 100 threads on it.

What's up with the surprises?
Everyone should know it's not about being "disrespected" it's about ratings.

If it were up to the networks, and they were allowed to do it, all we'd only see is the same 4-5 teams in prime time

Actually, the biggest names on the Bucs are Cadillac Williams and Ronde Barber.

Just think about this for a minute...what have the Bucs done with their past opportunities in Prime Time (other than the Super Bowl)?  They looked TERRIBLE last year vs. the Panthers on MNF, got blown out on Thanksgiving Day by the Cowboys and who can EVER forget the epic meltdown vs. the Colts on MNF.  Plain and simple, the Bucs have no history of putting on a good show in prime time.

every #1 and #2 draft pick we've had since 2000 should be ashamed of themselves.   Not ONE pro bowl appearance between any of them.   talk about under achievers.

Davin Joseph was there last year. And they should be ashamed, the people who picked them should.

alternates dont count.  its charity.  And I agree, its just as much fault as the GM and ownership for not marketting the team better with investments and better signing over the last several years.   I am so glad GM Allen is gone.

What other 9-7 team from last year does not have a prime time game?
The Bucs got hosed, pure and simple. DISRESPECTED AGAIN, by the NFL schedule makers.

The other 9-7 teams were the Jets, the Cowboys, the Bears, and the Cardinals.  If you honestly can't see why those teams would have prime time games and we wouldn't, you're just not paying attention.

And while no one is saying Ward, Bryant and Winslow are mediocre, they're not anywhere near the level of a Tony Romo or a Kurt Warner or a Reggie Bush as far as recognition goes.

why the big up-roar about no prime time games......i can understand for the out of town folks, b/c it gives you a chance to watch the Bucs game without having to have NFL network or having to go to the bar to catch the game, but big deal! No prime time games, not like its going to change the outlook on the 2009 season

Maybe it'll provide some bulletin board material.
