Shotgun? Oh I cant wait to see this.

Gruden said that he would install the shotgun this year during mini-camp because of the success that Bruce Gradkowski and Chris Simms had using it in their college days.

I think the shotgun is better in general... the 3 or 5 step drops seem kinda meaningless... Even tho the chance of fumbles on the snap increase, and a sack would be devestating. It may just give Simms just what he needs...

We could have really used it in 06.  Since the qbs already had experience with it, I didnt see how much troube it would have been to introduce it last season.

The only problem with the shotgun is that the defense knows that you are most likely going throw the ball out of that formation unless you run a draw play.

Yeah, in reality we wont..But he could be our last 2nd rounder..I just gave him to TB cuz we needed Saftey help badly. Merriweather and Michael Griffin i believe in reality is going to  be there. I'd take Griffin any day..Heres some info on both to compare

Got to agree with the fiorst few picks.  It appears as if Joe Thomas is going to be a Lion sooner before later.  They have the QB in the ranks already (no, not Kitna), they have a ton of wideouts and have been burned by them in the past, and their front four is decent enough (should be better if they get Simeon!!!).  Got to say Detroit absolutely will take Thomas.  There is no other clear cut choice, IMO.  It makes me sad, but I think the Bucs go after Calvin, because he will be the BAP, and considering the WR ranks (thin at best, definitely unproven mostly), he will wind up being the number 2, putting MC80 at the 3/4 (Stove).

Of course, if the Bucs draft Gaines, it will be a decent, high need pick (pass rush), but I think Gruden takes CJ.  He has to hate the offense the way it is, and CJ upgrades the hands.
