21. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Who: QBs Byron Leftwich, Josh Freeman, Luke McCown; RBs Derrick Ward, Earnest Graham

Add/subtract: Jon Gruden moving from sideline to broadcast booth will have some effect on the QBs. Warrick Dunn's departure ends an era. But Ward was a 1,000-yard rusher with the Giants and Freeman was the No. 17 pick of the draft.

Questionable: A team that has two starting quarterbacks has none. What if it thinks it has three?

The Thought: The Bucs are on the rise but the quarterback competition will take focus away from one central figure, which figures to be Freeman in the future.

The list is pretty bad though. Eli at 2? Come on.

I hate these preseason predictions. They are never right, and then they play it off when there wrong.

Well, it's not Eli @ 2, it's Eli, Brandon Jacobs, and Ahmed Bradshaw.  Two is still a little high for that trio, not by too much though.

That's what I mean. Cutler and Forte is way better IMO along with peyton and anyone.

seems like a fair assessment of our backfield....not great...bottom third of the league

But if they end up with a losing record, what does finishing 8th get you?  I could care less if they finish 32nd in rushing, as long as they have at least 10 wins and make the playoffs.

With Bryant, Winslow, Ward and Graham along with our (hopefully improved) offensive line, I don't really care who's QB.

With the right coaching, teams can hide a weakness at QB if other positions are solid.

Exact reason Freeman should be the opening day starter!
