Let's really just look at some other top end rushers:
What DT's are stopping QB's Abraham sacks from stepping up? Peppers? Freeny? Ware? Harrison? Porter? Kampmann? Allen before he got the Williams wall and got less sacks this year than last?

Seriously, Adams problem isn't that Adams doesn't have help it is that Adams has been sucking. He is supposed to be making everyone else on that line better not waiting for Jovan Haye to make a play.

First of all good of the kid to be stand up and say what everyone else knows.  Let's hope he's got an answer.  However, I watch ever game at least two or three times and there are a lot of times when Gaines is beating guys and the QB steps up with no pressure in his face.  Maybe he could take a better angle but to even beat a bad tackle in this league and get within a step of a guy who is looking the throw in 4 seconds or less is pretty fast.  Yeah he lite in the draws and has just one move and no strength.  But using what he has he's been in position to do some good things with no help up the middle...

is he really so different from the bulk of young players entering pro sports?  used to dominating the college ranks due to superior athleticism, he underestimated what is took to be a standout professional athlete.  its a common theme repeated on every team in every sport.  he had his wake up call.  year three is a big year for any pro.  lets see what he does with it before we write him off.

As has been explained multiple times, Rice didn't have Sapp from 1996-2000 when he had 51.5 sacks nor from 2004-2005 when he had 26 sacks.
