Lebowski was funny, but I've never understood the cult following.  Some classic lines for sure.

Hangover has some funny parts, but doesn't stand out to me as a great movie.

Both entertaining flicks.

Those guys are freakin geniuses and Big Lebowski is their comedic masterpiece.

I wouldn't say I didn't understand the humor.  I saw where they were trying to go with every "joke" in the movie, but didn't find them funny.   A movie I did not understand the humor was Friday after Next.   I couldn't even understand how anyone could think there were any jokes in that movie other than the script itself.

Big Lebowski was great.  Some like it while others don't.  It sort of grows on you the more you watch it.  There were some strange parts but it is not a feel good type of comedy like Caddyshack or Animal House.  I also didn't think it was possible to use the f word more than Goodfellas or Casino but they may have done it.
