In response to the Best Seasons of the 2000s thread, how about we come up with the best Tampa Bay Buccaneers 53 man roster of the 2000s. All you have to do is use Buccaneers players from 2000-2009, even if they haven't played a down with the team yet, to come up with your ideal 53 man roster for this decade. The way the roster shapes up in terms of how many players included for each position is entirely up to you. You can make any explainations for your picks if you feel the need and you can also even go as far as coming up with the best head coach, front office staff, position coaches, and anything else you want to include.

Edit: The roster doesn't have to be the best players through 2000-2009, it can be the players that you would take if you are building a team right now too. You can go the fantasy route, or the best players in each position in the decade.

Badabing started a team already in the thread mentioned above, which is where I got this idea. Here is the starting line-up that he made for his All 2000 Buccaneers team:

Who would make you're all 2000 team for our Bucs?

HC: Jon Gruden(I know Morris didn't coach yet and Dungy only had 2 years, but Gruden takes the cake here)

QB: Brad Johnson(01-04)
RB: Michael Pittman(02-07)
FB: Mike Alstott(00-06)
WR: Joey Galloway(04-08)
WR: Keyshawn Johnson(01-03)
WR: Keenan McCardell(02-04)
TE: Kellen Winslow(09)-didn't even play for us yet, but boy we didn't have many studs at this position
T: Roman Oben
G: Cosey Coleman
C: Jeff Faine
G: Davin Joseph
T: Kenyatta Walker

DE: Simeon Rice(01-06)
DT: Warren Sapp(00-03)
DT: Chris Hovan(05-09)
DE: Greg Spires(02-07)
LB: Derrick Brooks(00-08)
LB: Barrett Ruud(05-09)
LB: Shelton Quarles(00-06)
CB: Ronde Barber(00-09)
CB: Brian Kelly(00-07)
CB: Dwight Smith
S: John Lynch(00-03)
S: Jermaine Phillips(00-09)
K: Matt Bryant(04-08)
P: Josh Bidwell

Coleman and Walker?  Both of our left guards (Zuttah and Sears) are better than Coleman...heck even Buenning was better than Coleman...Walker was absolute trash.  Trueblood is a heck of a lot better than Walker.  If you are going to put Winslow down, they you need to put Graham down instead of Pittman.  In the time he has had to play, Graham has shown to be a much better back than Pittman.  I love what Pittman did for us but I hated his running style(which is a problem since that is your primary responsibility)...He caught passes and made blocks and had one incredible game for (thank god it was the Super Bowl)...Heck, even though he was not here long this decade, Dunn was much better than Pittman...

I like Talib after one season more than Dwight Smith...but I am not sure of the criteria expected here...

How can you put Ward on that list?

He hasn't played a down as a Buc yet.

The rules say that you can put any player on your roster that hasn't played a down yet. That's why I've included 2009. The roster isn't necesarily the best players through 2000-2009, it can be the players that you would take if you are building a team right now too. I'm sorry that I didn't clarify that in the rules. I will edit them.

Anyway, it's your own opinion. I was going to include Ward, but opted not to. That's why I chose Fulton over Kenyatta Walker....more upside!

I don't know where all the love for Walker is coming... I did a better job blocking than he did

If you put Brian Griese as one of the quarterbacks on your All-Decade team, Kenyatta Walker is a must have. You would need him to run down all of the defenders that intercept Griese's passes.

I forgot to add Larry Brackins to my roster. Here's another person for you to add to your offensive line:
