Well, he hasn't won a game in almost 6 months.

It was based on a poll of former NFL scouts - though I don't understand how they can rank the nine new coaches.

That's as dumb as saying we'll go to SB this year.  No one knows.  Jeesh, it must be hard filling the news columns these days.  People will say anything and then print it!!!  Imagine!

Or in his life.

It's the fear of the unknown that turns people into mindless cynics. If everyone had to rely on historical accomplishments to advance in life, the world's progress would come to a crawl.

31. Raheem Morris, Buccaneers. The players in Tampa like him a lot. But he is a young coach (he turns 33 in September) with no head coaching experience. He might be in over his head.

You can't tell if someone's over their head until you see them sinking. It's better to be the underdogs anyway so we can suprise a few people.

No one really knows Raheem yet.

I just met Raheem on a flight back to Tampa. Really good guy. I can see why players love him. I think he may surprise some people.

Funny, no one else on a plane full of Tampa people even recognized him.

Either that or they didn't care to pay attention to him.

I'm gonna have to get me some of whatever they are smoking, Sean Payton the #6 HC in the league?
Really, what has the chump actually done except make excuses for the Saints "underachieving" every year.
From my memory of the guy his crowning moment is calling a reverse when trying to run the clock out which ended perfectly for us.
If he really were the #6 HC in the league McCown would have a ZERO in hat win column because we were beat at that point until Boy Blunder tried to act smart. The only reason the Saints even manage to stay mediocre is because of Brees.

John Fox wins the South last year, has made 2 NFC Championship games and a Super Bowl yet he's ranked 3rd in the South behind Payton and Smith. I guess that single winning season Payton had 3 years ago was more important than any of us could have guessed and that could be fluke year that ended one & done for the Falcons trumps everything Fox has done.

I think they must have had a bowl with names in and pulled them at random.

I will judge him after a couple of seasons while Java judges him before he has even coached a game.

Why am I not surprised that Java would be one of the first to jump on this stupid post.  Obviously Raheem isn't going to get any props till he earns it.  He will only do that with wins this fall.  He should be in a separate class for people without a proven record.

Yeah sure.  It was just random that guys like Belichick, Reid and Tomlin ended up at the top and disasters like Morris and McDaniels ended up at the bottom.   Please.
