Who knows about Ronde (he needs to play at a high level for a few more years, and he might need to move to safety to do so)

Five or six years, at least!

I think Tim Ryan mentioned him as a sure-fire HOFer today.

Seeing how Ronde has played on teams with inept offenses that couldn't stay on the field for just about his whole career and he has always played special teams, I wonder where he ranks on snaps played on  the all-time list. He has to be up there.

Yep...dude is a guaranteed HoFer IMO. I know this franchise doesn't get much love/coverage, but I've heard a lot of Barber HoF talk from the national media this season...enough to think it will actually happen and even possibly as a 1st ballot HoFer.

This thread was started six years ago when Ronde was 31. Now he's 37 and still making plays. BTW:

5 Pro Bowl selection (2001, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008)
3 First-Team All-Pro selection (2001, 2004, 2005)
2 Second-Team All-Pro selection (2002, 2006)
Super Bowl champion (XXXVII)
NFL 2000s All-Decade Team
Ed Block Courage Award (2011)
20/20 Club
Most consecutive starts by a NFL cornerback
Most quarterback sacks by a NFL cornerback

We were debating if he was good enough for the HOF 6 years ago. The fact that he is still playing is amazing.

I think this season gives him a great boost for the HOF. He could make the pro bowl at FS. Can no longer make the stupid statement that he is a "system cornerback". I loved seeing Ronde playing special teams yesterday, being scrappy and blocking multiple dudes.

I don't know if she's a 1st ballot guy, but he'll get in.
