Agreed, mental depression is nothing to screw around with. What happens if Aaron Sears has a bad game, opens the newspaper and finds out he's getting ripped by the columnist? The perfect storm, he grabs some wire, finds a beam in his basement and the rest is history. If you aren't 100% mentally in it, sit out. No one is irreplaceable, Zuttah will do a hell of a job.

The game is far from meaningless.  If someone needs you to spell out the import ance of family and loved ones, as compared to most anything else, then yes, most things are meaningless in that regard.


And I never once said anything contrary to what you said.


Except except, he is letting us down.  Knee injury (Carnell, dissapointing), ankle (Graham, disspointing), Mental (Gruden over McCown), undefined (Sears, starting guard not there)...these things are major letdowns.  I never said anything bad about Sears....I said he is letting us down by not being there.  What is so hard to read here?

Maybe he is upset Gruden got fired.  Maybe he is suffering from double vision.  Maybe he has a drug problem.  Maybe he is gay, and wants to come clean.  Maybe he hates football.

Much to my chagrin, this situation appears to be the only reason Mahan is still on the roster at his current salary.  I never understood why he wasn't apart of the cuts with Brooks, Galloway, Hilliard, Dunn, and June - now it makes some sense.

Well aren't you Mr. Sympathetic. The obvious concern everyone around the Bucs organization is showing over this situation indicates that it's much more serious than him just being lazy. Sorry if his efforts to get his life on track interfere with your enjoyment of a game.

Tell me, who's letting the team and fans down more -- Aaron Sears, who's out because he's dealing with what his own team says are serious personal issues, or Barrett Ruud, who's missed the installation of his team's new defense solely because he wants more money?

Ruud is disappointing as well.

But we are not talking about Ruud.

I am not bashing Sears, but he is letting us down.  I hope he gets better, for whatever ails him, but I hope he gets better so he can play this GAME that I cherish on Sundays...call me selfish all you want, but that is our relationship.

Sorry if I am not invited to his family picnics like some of you guys are.  But with that said, I HOPE he gets to good quickly.
