Not I "Hate"...I grew up with the Jackson 5 first and then 'Off the Wall" and 'Thriller'...used to come home from school and practice drums to that album ( yes, album) every day. I remember when you would hear a Jackson song on the radio once or twice an hour all damn day....man was supremely gifted and my goosebump moment came when he performed on "Motown 25' and first did the moonwalk.....my whole school was talking about that for days!

Notwithstanding his well-documented trouble, he was very talented and did a lot for music.

RIP, Michael Jackson.

For sure. Unfortunately, most on this board OBVIOUSLY are too young to be aware of or appreciate how talented he was in his prime.

wont lie hate, thats me.

He was very talented.  He was also a child-molesting freak.

It's really a sad day.

As "Hate" mentioned, many here are too young to have a true appreciation for what he did in the music industry.

Michael's "Thriller" album is a true masterpiece in every sense of the word.  The combination of Michael's talent and Quincy Jones' creativity are unmatched in the pop era IMO.

Rock/Pop music as we knew it, had 3 tranformations IMO.  Elvis, The Beatles, and Michael Jackson.

Indeed, Michael led a bizarre life, but nontheless a human being has passed.....an extremely talented one.

Rest in peace Michael.  Your music will live forever.

Yeah, he will be missed. 50 years old may be old but he is not that old. He will have a huge funeral for sure. He made great memories for me when I was a kid even though he scared the crap out of me with the "Thriller" song. I remember I couldn't go to sleep for days when he released that video. I'll miss the dude for sure, R.I.P. man.

EXACTLY.

Being a musical superstar / phenomenon doesn't excuse being a pedophile.

Another PEDO bites the dust.. better for us all.
