Vikings WR Harvin sent home from rookie symposium due to illness

Quote
Minnesota Vikings first-round draft pick Percy Harvin was sent home from the NFL Rookie Symposium after becoming ill, organizers said Monday.

Harvin, a wide receiver from the University of Florida, reported for the start of the symposium Sunday afternoon, but after notifying the medical staff that he wasn't feeling well, it was recommended that he return home. Harvin was officially excused by organizers.

Symposium officials said that all 256 draft picks had reported Sunday.

This is the second time that Harvin has become ill after traveling this offseason. He missed the Vikings' initial rookie minicamp in May when he was hospitalized for a virus and severe dehydration after vomiting on a flight from Florida to Atlanta on his way to Minnesota.

What's up with Harvin being so sick this offseason?

Could it be air sickness? Maybe he should borrow the Madden Cruiser this season, since it is no longer being used.

This is the second time he's been sick. He missed the first OTA because of the "flu"

Heard last night on Total Access that he will have to go back to the Rookie Symposium next
year and a 1st yr player.     Percy is the first guy ever to have to do that...

there is something not right there...  that's for sure.

my guesses, in order:
a) serious hangovers
b) behavior issues, dressed up so the vikes save face
c) pregnancy
d) he's a pro athlete who's had 2 significant illnesses that coincide with NFL or team activities

Yeah, it is rather peculiar, but with that said, I could care less...guy has some talent.  As long as he is at practice, with is teammates, these minor issues are negligible, IMO...

But he obviously has people raising their eyebrows a bit.

Yeah, it's a good thing he didn't play college for the Gators!
