I like Weddle. The guy is a pure football player and is all heart. He gives 110% all the time, has great leadership, and is very football-smart.

I think we would have to take the other two guys with 2A if we want them but if Weddle was available at 2B I wouldn't be opposed.

I have to agree with you on that.  He would be a good second round pick.

Here is how the NFL network ranks the safties of this year's draft:

LaRon Landry

Its kind of a dumb question, your asking a bunch of UF, FSU, Miami fans who they want? of course all them are going to say merriweather

Nelson I agree, but not Merriweather

Eric Weddle is a sleeper pick, if he falls we have to grab him, pure playmaker

I would definitely take Merriweather if he fell to our 2B pick.

If Weddle really is rated as the 5th S, take Marcus Thomas at 2b as Weddle might still be there in the 3rd.

Michael Griffin or Merriweather is going to slip to us. But i'd take Weddle with the 64th and Jarvis Moss with the 35th.

Our secondary has already made a HUGE upgrade this off-season, Raheem Morris.  I am sure if the D-line does its job he will get the same set of DBs performing to the same level that made the Buccs D number one in 2005.
