I suspect there's more to this than has been revealed so far.........What was the trade-off/exchange? Some sort of concession was made to get this done....

But of course, but this is evidence that negotiations do work.  And no there isn't any buyer remorse given McCain's stance on foreign policy was outright absurd IMO.  Diplomacy was the staple of the Republican party for a long time showing strength in being able to talk to an adversary face to face.  Why they abandoned such a strong suit I will never truly understand to be honest.

I hope Clinton promised N. Korea a ton, and now that folks are released - thumbs their noses at N. Korea - as they do after every agreement

Right on......funny how people on this board forget that N. Korea doesn't give damn who runs our country, they will act out like a little child. I'm glad Clinton got those girls out. Now let's see him or the Obama administration stop that regime from firing off rockets and claiming they can hit Hawaii or the West Coast. They are a Terrorist regime. Period. Claim victory all you want, they will continue to be just that. Did you see Kim Jong Ill's face in those pictures? He loved the fact that Clinton came there. Charisma doesn't equal security you freaking morons. Don;t even try with your stupid "**CENSORED**" putdowns....you're the ignorant class that thinks a diplomatic "gesture" equals anything but a photo op. Please come and seek me out this Saturday at the Bucs practice...I'll be glad to argue my points in person....bring your dog too....I think he/she is doing your thinking for you.

Clinton hasd more brains and diplomacy in his little finger than Dubya has in his whole body. They may not have given anything up it's just that Bill is very well respected over there and held in high esteem. And they said they'd only release the women to pres Clinton. When it was determined they weren't just B S ing and wouldn't send Bill home alone he went to get their release.  And the only reason you 'righties' hate Clinton is you know he could win tomorrow if he could run again for prez.

Ya....that's what it is. Listen, "respected" in N Korea?? That statement alone nullifies your entire post......I'm sure Clinton would win now...now that the Left has seen how wrong they were in picking the MOST LEFTIST SOCIALIST President we've ever had....respected by a terrorist...that is truly funny...thanks for the laugh....

Clinton got them home - that is a good thing.  And if the US had to promise N. Korea anything beyond Clinton's visit - now that the two women are home - tell them to eff off as they do so routinely after agreements are reached.

Quite true, he'd stomp Obama.

No question.  If anything, this event just highlighted how BO is a low A ball back up to Bill Clinton's All Star performance.
