If you are like me and will buy this game but don't really care if you get it right when it comes out there is a deal being offered by Sports Illustrated. I like the magazine and they offer the game with a subscription for about $10 less than you pay in stores. Here's the link...

Gonna buy it 2-morrow.  The midnight craze is just goofy to me.  I have done it, and I detest waiting inline for 2 hours for a game I get, go home, and fall asleep, play in the AM...gah.

Nope.  It is NEVER worth that much money.

The game is still basically a rehash...like I said earlier, not too much different with this one.

BUT, there has been some philosophical changes made...so I can embrace that at least.  I just think it stinks that the frnchise would monopolize the game.  I won't go down that trail however...

$64 is way too much. I remember when my games use to cost $53! I think i might get the game this year I did save up some money this summer from doing some odd jobs.

Coming from a Madden hater and 2K loyalist myself, Madden is definitely worth it this year. This is the best game they have put out for 360/PS3 by far.

Shoot, I am glad I dont have to pay the high dollar for it. I still have a PS2 and it will be sweet buying the game for 40 bucks and still have 2000 people online to play against.

Still works just as good as a PS3, and in reality I don't play video games nearly enough to warrant spending anymore than 200 on a system, and yes there are still 1000 people online on Madden 2009 every time I get on.

A techy friend of mine told me last week that the PS2 continues to outsell the "3".... not sure how true it is.

It does outsell the PS3. The PS3 is highly overrated and is only selling on account of bluray

PS2 outsells because there is a massive game library for 1/3 of the price and the console is 99 compared to 399.
