They weren't great and Vick is not the greatest. Never said that. I said he IS a very good QB in the NFL. With the emergence of this wildcat, he will become more valuable if a team chooses to give it a go. With Vick Falcons always had a shot and were always fun to watch.

He wasn't a very good QB after people figured his game. Check his record after his rookie season and it isn't good. He doesn't make the people around him better, ask Roddy White. The wildcat is a fad and will be gone before the year is done.

How about asking Warrick Dunn? He loved Vick.

John Galt?

Lot of Vick fans using the present tense, as in "he is a great athlete" or "he is better than...".  Sorry, but this is a "what have you done lately" league. What stats from '07 or '08 show Vick is better than anyone? He has been in a 6' x 9' cell for almost 2 years, there is no way to tell how good he is or how much he has deteriorated. 2 years away from the game, there is a very good chance he is a huge bust.

Wonder if Reid will keep a tighter leash on Vick than he did his kids.

ouch!

Damn, man..... That's wrong on a couple of levels.  :D

He could spell Westbrook, McNabb, probably even a WR. All in all he could get all kinds of PT, just at different positions.

It doesn't make sense. You have Kolb and Mcnabb is ten times better

He's better than Kolb and a good option when (not IF) McNabb gets injured.
Exactly how I see it. God move for a team trying to win it all this season.
yep

From a business perspective, this move makes entirely no sense.  Michael Vick has been out of football for 2 years and just because he's been in jail, doesn't mean he's a better receiver than Maclin, Jackson, Curtis, or Brown.  From a football point of view, sure he has the potential to be a better back-up QB than Kolb and Feeley, but remember he wasn't that great when he played and was at the peek of his career.

So they went out and signed this guy, in which they will have some fans upset (I even heard on ESPN- a season ticketholder giving up her tickets b/c of it) and have protest for the rest of the season, just so they can have a guy for the Wild Cat in which they will run that play between 5 and 10 times the ENTIRE season.

So Vick, who can get fully reinstated by week 6, was signed to be your back-up QB and be apart of 5-10 plays all year(basically a non-factor to the teams success this year) and you are taking on protest and backlish by alot of the fans.

Lurier and Banner must have been smoking some pot when they came up with this idea.  Vick will be a non-factor this year and PETA will be protesting all year.

Love it...

Vick and Philly fans will be a wonderful relationship. They deserve each other.
