Morris was 0-4 also. His DBs were pitiful. The defense was weak. Yet he got promoted? How? DBs couldn't tackle or finish plays or create turnovers. And who cares what the players think? Never heard Parcells, Gibbs, Bellichek, Coughlin, Walsh or any other GOOD coach to really care what players thought. . Difference with those coaches, thier owner let them spend some money.

Do you ever post anything insightful? his DBs were pitiful? You mean the one that held Delhomme to 1 td and 2 ints?  Ryan to 0 Tds and 2 ints with 200 yards? or when they held Russell to 2 tds and 1 int? How did they not create turnovers when they had 5 ints in those last 4 games. yes Buchanan got abused against San Diego, but the Dbs did everything they could to win games. The line and LBs were the ones at fault. When you need to the DBs to make the tackles in the running game, there is a problem.

k well that's great.   Let's not carry this on any longer.   Let the thread be about the Bucs.   It doesn't matter how long anyone has been on this board.   I wasn't trying to say that in anyway.   Some people have 20 thousand posts and don't make a lick of sense.....others have 2 posts and make every word worth reading.    Doesn't matter to me.   You and your buddy can use all the lame tactics you want about brown nosing and other stuff.   I don't know DTG and he certainly doesn't need people sticking up for him.   I just get sick and tired of people who make asinine threads about nothing coming into a thread worth reading and spouting off.     It just makes them look jealous and I find that sad since it's just a fan site message board.   You don't get a trophy at the end of the season for best thread or most connected member.    DTG isn't trying for the PR Hall of Fame or anything, he's just passing on what he hears from the players and staff.

Winslow is getting some "exemptions" it appears, as well.

Not me.  I think Clayton is a s-bird, and attempted to throw Gruden under the bus to take attention off his lack of skill...Luke probably feels that Gruden "held him back" when in reality, he can't even beat out a Byron Leftwich (who isn't as good as a Jeff Garcia).  Give me some quotes from vetern players who can actually ball, and I'm interested.  I mean really, who gives a crap what Maurice Stovall thinks?

I've collected a little bit of feedback from players who were around before and are still around since Coach Morris was promoted. There were several things that seemed to come up from each player now:

1) They love the upbeat enthusiasm with the addition of more accountability;
2) they feel like they now are being dealt with more honestly;
3) they love the consistency of the current approach (so far).

Anyhow, just thought I'd share.

Is this ONLY the positive take, surely there are players that don't have such sunny views...

Your post makes no sense to me.    You admit that no player would be stupid enough to tell someone outside of fellow players the bad stuff.....but then you say DTG should be "reporting" that anyway.     You've been around a long time and in between bashing people who use technology newer then 1983 you should have learned one thing......DTG is not a reporter.    He said he collected some info and was gonna pass it on.   He's not PR or a local sports writer.   He doesn't need to be unbiased or give his sources.   He passes it on and you can take it or leave it.

Ronde was walking around in shorts when I was there - without any injury report. Guess I am missing the point as well.

Meh.  Veterns his age don't have to practice as often/hard as the younger guys.  Gruden learned that lesson the hard with with vetern injuries.  Most HC's practice their older vets sparringly.
