They don't give out a National Championship in the FBS.
Also, let's just wait and see what kind of implications the games have on the BCS championship.
The BCS title?
Yeah, it's a BCS title. That's exactly what it should be called 'cause that's what it is. However, it's not a national championship. If a team in the division can win all of its games and not win the title then it's not a national title. It's some smaller group of the division that's actually eligible. I would Say it's BCS but you can be in a BCS conference run the table and not win the title so even the whole of the BcS is not in the running so it's probably not proper to call it a BcS title either. Though an argument can be made that they agreed to the rules.
In any case, it in no way shape or form should carry the same weight as a real National Championship. And should definitely not be referred to as such.
Technically what do they win, the coaches poll. They call it a poll but he voters are not free to vote for anyone they'd like to vote for. Seems to me we go beat up other countries that have polls like that.
FBS fans should just not worry about what some self appointed noot nots think. They should just get back to enjoying their football and having it out with other fans based on the fans' opinions.
