Auburn's defense isn't anything close to Va Tech's.

That "average at best" run game ran for 240 yards on 33 carries (7.27 YPC) with Ingram and Upchurch.

I really didn't see a WR that made me stand up and take notice.

Ingram looked damn good. Their WRs are kinda irrelevant with such mediocre QB play, but Julio is good. Their D is down right frightening (I'm thinking ahead to December).

I think Bama will be playing that first Saturday in December and they'll be undefeated going in, again.

I don't know if they will be undefeated, there might be a slip up with the new QB, but I do think they will be in Atlanta again.

Meyer and Saban might make that an annual meeting.

Guess I stand corrected.  From the couch, it sure didn't look all that impressive.  I guess time will tell on how good the Va Tech D really is...

Fair critique...I'm just not sure whose victories this season are the most impressive.

I think BYU and Boise should be ranked higher than they are, I'm not sure about Houston.  I think they just caught OK. State riding high off a big victory.

All that said, I think it still makes sense for the AP poll to be released at the same time as the first BCS poll comes out.

If OSU played with the same intensity they did againt USC, they would've blown Navy out of the water, so to speak. That being said, I think they're somewhere in the middle of those two performances. Probably closer to the USC game..

I disagree.  Intensity wasn't OSU's problem against Navy.
