There is so much hate towards Brett Favre, can anyone explain it to me?

Basically my question is, if Favre didn't know what he wanted to do with his future who else has the right to judge him on that? Who has the right to tell him he needs to make up his mind faster? Why doesn't Favre have the right to be unsure about his future, and HUGE decisions that needed to be made for him and his family? And why, as some people have suggested, would Favre have done all of this for the attention? What does he have to gain through that?

It sickens me the way he is treated, and I dont even like Favre myself

if anything the hate should be aimed towards the media who decides they need to cover Michael Jacksons death 24/7 for weeks. they cover every move Favre makes. They even had a helicopter flying above to shoot footage

And then the media wants to lash out because they get angry about how the story is covered, and how much attention he gets, WHEN THEY ARE THE ONES COVERING HIM! That's the ultimate hypocrisy.

I would have to care more to have a feeling one way or the other - and other than the annoyance from National Media overwhelming me with Favre news? there no feeling towards even his name on my part.

People just hate the crap they constantly hate on ESPN about Brett Favre this and Brett Farve that. It's obvious he doesn't want to do training camp. But he is Brett Favre so he shouldn't have to. He was one of the greatest a future HOF. How can you hate.

Why I hate Favre:

1. Went to USM my alma mater's rival
2. He's a jerk of a person with a fake good ol' boy image
3. He was a Packer when the Packers were big rivals
4. He's an overrated INT machine
5. Tired of listen to Madden talk about how much fun he's having on the field
6. Tired of his diva "will I or won't I act'.

There we go, any other questions?

All posts are opinions in case you are too stupid to figure that out on your own without me saying it over and over.
If you think Manziel is the best QB in this draft I can safely assume you are an idiot and will treat you as such.

Who has the right to judge him? Everybody. He's a public figure.
Who has the right to tell him to make up his mind faster? Everybody. He's a public figure.
He DOES have the right to decide his own future. Then everybody ELSE has the right to criticize him about it. This is the USA, in case you forgot.
Attention? Some guys CRAVE the limelight. Not sure if Favre is one of them, but there are plenty of those guys in the NFL.

The issue is, why doesnt he just remain a free agent till the end of the offseason and the retire. He does it because Brett Favre is a greedy man. He is all about the money.

Favre was the guy who went to rehab, snuck booze in, and then walked out well before his treatment was completed, correct?

Yeah.

if favre had decided to return before practices began then there wouldnt be a backlash.  if he had chose to be a teammate rather than just a football player then there wouldnt be a backlash.  but to walk in a week before the season begins without putting in the blood, sweat, and tears that they other guys have?  no respect for that in my book.
