A friend and I were talking about this, for a 2nd round WR to only last one year, not make a single catch then get cut. Bo Jackson is the biggest waste of a pick, but for any player to actually play for the Bucs, was DJax the biggest bust?

Not even close - you have to factor in the draft number.  I'd take a total non-factor like Jackson in the late second-round over someone like McRae or McCants taken in the top-10 in a heartbeat. Sure, they played - but played at such a low level it was scary.

LOL @ this topic.

Bo Jackson might be the worst pick by any NFL team, ever.  We wasted a first OVERALL selection on a guy who accumulated no stats for us.

Definetly not the worst pick, he wasnt even in the first round. But he was TURRIBLE!

Kenyatta Walker has to be up there. To blow not one but two picks on what historically is among the safest positions to draft in the 1st round is really embarrassing. Add to the fact that he couldn't just suck with dignity but had a terrible attitude, too.

Don't be ridiculous.  There was a Dexter Jackson pick for the Buc's every year between 1980 and 1993.

Those PlayStation All-Americans up there thinking they know football because they watched a game on TV.

You know who was really awful as a Buc, Eric Curry.

Another WR, Danny Peebles, was the 5th pick in the 2nd round, stayed on the roster for two seasons and started one game and caught 17 balls his entire career in Tampa.

Demetrius Dubose was a pretty bad pick, too, based on his production -- 5th pick in the second round, five career starts and 56 total tackles in four seasons in Tampa.

And this is about right for the end of the Gruden.  Before this was Aaron Sears, he had a way of finding loser players.

Keith Browner, Jackie Walker, Don Smith, etc, etc, etc.

All more productive for this team than Jackson.
