Javid Best is the CLEAR leader...

He's been phenomenal, but the 2 best players on the 2 best teams who were at the Heisman ceremony last year are still the frontrunners at this point IMO.

Colt McCoy was hardly impressive to me vs the no defense TT team.

I'm not saying he was, but I don't think Minnesota will be winning any defensive awards this season either.

BTW, Texas Tech's defense is better than any team Best has played thus far this season by a pretty wide margin in total yards and PPG.

Ill be at the game this week, and Ill be curious what he does vs Oregon. I expect Oregon to stack the box.

Eastern Washington has played Western Oregon and Northern Colorado.
Minnesota has played Syracuse and Air Force.

Don't act like Best has been tearing it up against better teams, he hasn't.  None of those teams are offensive juggernauts that lowered their defensive ratings.

Im just saying Best if I had to put money on it has the best chance. If they beat Oregon (which they are favored) they just have USC at home left. They probably are at worst a 1 loss team

Mark Ingram shouldn't really be in the discussion. He started strong, but Bama's backfield is crowded. He won't get the carries to get him near the Heisman.
