just for statistics sake, id throw in tebows rushing TD.  but there is no way in hades he will be able to put up numbers to keep the pace this year, not with demps/rainey/moody producing.

What about Jimmy Clausen? 15-18, 315 & 4 TDs..

Or Joe McKnight? 14 carries, 145 yds & 2 TDs. Although he might be in the same type of situation as Tebow with USC's RB stable.

Eric Berry didn't play that much.  I know he's a defensive guy, but man I'd love to see him get some serious consideration and votes.

It's a pretty wide field at this point, so I just went with the 5 front runners for now.

Feel free to add anybody, the list will whittle itself down throughout the season.  If Claussen keeps putting up those kind of numbers, he might take over Bradford's spot because of his injury.

He's a great player, but I don't think he has a chance in hell of winning the award with the other offensive players that are in college football right now.

Yea, defenders just don't get the consideration. No glamour.

For Clausen, next week against Michigan can help his cause greatly. But if he keeps it up and eventually  beats USC, he'll take a quantum leap..

It's going to come down to McCoy and Tebow.

I'd add Mark Ingram, 26 carries for 150 yards, TD against VT's very very good D.

And if they keep pulling him in the 2nd Q.

I don't think he'll play much more vs Troy. His first full game will be UT (who will be climbing up the rankings now)

McCoy doesn't have to read SEC defenses and doing what he did in 1 1/2 quarters makes Tebow very impressive.

I think the Big 12 D's have done pretty well when playing SEC offenses.
