Does anyone else notice throughout this decade we haven't been in position to pick a great 1st round QB? Gambled with Freeman, let's hope he's the man.

Yeah, Kenyatta Walker certainly left a legacy, didn't he. In fact, he cost this team TWO high draft picks, not just one. They could have drafted Drew Brees and Matt Light and instead they traded picks and got Kenyatta Walker.

Matt Light obviously would have been great for the short and long term, but were the Bucs really in a position to take another young quarterback in 2001 (Brees) when they were doing everything to win the Super Bowl that year or the next year?

Hey, I'm just listing the guys they COULD have taken, that's all. To be honest, I recall hoping they'd draft Jeff Backus in round one or trade down and get more picks and draft Todd Heap.

Gotcha. It's hard to believe Walker turned out as badly as he did. I remember tracking down an old Gary Shelton SPT column just overwhelmingly gushing over the good fortune of Walker dropping like that.
