ESPN.com's John Clayton is reporting that Ravens offensive coordinator Jim Fassel has resigned. A press conference has been called for noon.

I know, not Bucs news, but big non the less.

Might have been a part of the whole Jam Lewis-Mike Anderson debacle.  Lewis busts a nice run, and then promptly gets benched, setting off a Jam Lewis tirade.  It seems innocuous enough, but these things tend to snowball, IMO.

Ask Billick if he's wearing purple underwear.

someone had to be the fall guy, and it wasn't gonna be brian 'the offensive genius' billick. i suppose things will start humming again now that the Master is controlling the offense again.

fassel's career as an NFL coach in any capacity is now in jeopardy, i think. he left his HC job ignonimously, whiffed in being a difference-maker in kyle boller's development as de facto QB coach, and now has been forced to leave a 4-2 team midseason because a unit loaded with former pro-bowlers and high draft picks (ogden, mcnair, heap, lewis, mason, clayton) can't carry it's weight. he's regressing before our eyes

Bet he ends up in Cleveland after they fire Mo Carthon.
