If all players on offense and defense were playing at Ruud's level so far, this team would not be 0-4.

I don't see how this fits the definition of "calling out" any more than the JoeBucFan thread.....

Looks like Ruud got his jab in there, too.

Ruud is a tackling machine.

But he is truly not making the impact plays that he is capable of.  We have seen him make these plays, but for whatever reason, they have stopped.  He needs self motivation.  He said it himself...the players need to point thumbs, not figners.

No big deal, this article was, IMO.

My concern is whether Ruud is making the proper defensive calls. He IS the QB of the defense. By the teams' performance to-date, I cannot be so sure. That's something that only the coaches have a true handle on and, who knows, maybe that has something to do with their present hesitation to give him the big contract extension.

Puts WHAT on tape? Tackles 6-10 yards downfield?

Ruud CAN'T shed blockers AT ALL.

This is true.

Ruud gets anyone on him, and he gets washed out of the play.  Probably why he is not blitzed that often...he really doesn't have the upper body frame of a stud MLB if you look at him.  But he is quick, he has solid tackling abilities.

I have no problem with Ruud for the most part.  Think he is arguably the best defender on THIS roster.

Ruud is #2 in the NFL in tackles just to let everyone know. Least he was the last I checked.

You'd be a good coach.   Bench Ruud and put in the backup.   It would be a helluva improvement....

This defense has so many problems.   Ruud isn't one of them.
