Our two top 5 picks in the Gruden era were Cadillac Williams and Gaines Adams.

Wow.

Wow! This move was totally unexpected, but also was a great trade! It reminds me of 2006 when Bruce Allen was able to get a 2nd rounder for Booger McFarland. I'm thinking we use that second round pick from Gaines to bring in Shawne Merriman.

I dont recall who we ended up with for that second round pick but that guy was NOT worth a 2nd.

I feel like this is a lateral move. Gaines Adams has more talent than anyone in the 2nd round this year.

We've been hearing about Adams talent for way too long.  He's 26 years old, how long should the franchise wait?

I'm anxious to see Tim Crowder get his opportunity, because Gaines has worn his out.

Pretty sure we drafted Sabby with that pick.

I am gonna laugh if the guy blows up for 12 sacks or so...

And with 2 second round picks, they had better be drafting wisely this year.

I'm talking CBs, DEs, and DTs.

They can go WR in round 3 plus.
agreed that that would be ideal.

The Bucs are overflowing with 6 sack a year defensive ends. They can spare one of them to hopefully better stock a thinner position, like corner.

FRG is the most logical poster on this board.  You guys just don\'t like where the logical conclusions take you.

This trade makes no sense for the Bears, they already have at least 2 DEs better than Adams.

Uh...we know man..we know.

I am sick of hearing the same broken record.  I skip those threads about Gruden/Dungy/draft picks almost entirely.

It is like listening to a broken record that sucks.

Hopefully the equipment manager in Chicago can get him a proper fitting helmet.

It will be interesting to see if Marinelli can do anything with Adams.

i'm disappointed.  i was hoping to see him turn it around.  i've always liked the guy and stuck up for him here.  i know he has really underachieved but he doesnt deserve the heavy criticism that is heaped upon him here.  its great to stockpile picks but what have you seen from this FO the last several years that gives you confidence we'll bring in someone good with those picks?
