Bucs return man Clifton Smith got hit in the throat just prior to halftime on a cheap shot by Panthers defensive back Dante Wesley. Wesley launched himself at Smith, who was attempting to field a punt, and hit the defenseless return man with his forearm and shoulder. Bucs running back Earnest Graham indicated after the game that Smith seemed like he was in fair condition, but that he "had a hard time swallowing." Stay tuned to PewterReport.com for more Bucs news.

Should be some heavy fines and suspensions being dealt out for that hit.

Textbook definition of cheap shot with intent to injure.

Thats what I thought when I saw the hit, I was worried he did some real damage to his throat.

Horrible cheap shot, fines and I'd hope a suspension.

All posts are opinions in case you are too stupid to figure that out on your own without me saying it over and over.
If you think Manziel is the best QB in this draft I can safely assume you are an idiot and will treat you as such.

Did anyone see Wesley punch Talib during the scrum?

I wonder if the league office will catch that one... that's why Talib was running towards Carolina's sidelines...

Better than a concussion I suppose.

I rest him in London, then you have a bye, hopefully he's ready in 3 weeks...

Even his own teammates were on his arse after that.  Is a 1-2 game suspension out of the question?
