If he sucks at QB, we can always toss him in for chronically IR'd B.J. Askew.

But his supposed advantage is a mobile QB who can run and make plays with his legs. At that weight, that's a lot to carry around and he surely will be slower. Not a good sign.

If he wasn't overweight initially, and he's been on an NFL conditioning program, it's not out of the question for a highly-active human male to gain 10-15 lbs of muscle in a year.

He is a first-round pick, so I am sure they are watching everything that he eats, drinks, etc.

Just like Gaines...

It is a new day in TAMPA BAY!    GO BUCS!!

Ben Roethlisburger is a perfect example of why that isnt always true.

He weights 241.

270 lbs when his combine weight was 248. That's promising...

Yeah, I see your point. The OC should weigh each player personally each morning so that he'll know the player's exact weight should it come up during an interview.

I have a feeling he has been lifting with professionals, and has indeed added mass.  But does the team really want that from him?

I have a feeling he's been lifting a few too many doughnuts in his mouth...

If he's lifting why is he lifting to gain mass instead of a regime to build strength and flexibility?

I want to know if the Bucs have been trying to bulk him up and if so, why did he need to bulk up?

All posts are opinions in case you are too stupid to figure that out on your own without me saying it over and over.

at 6'6" he shouldn't lose much mobility putting on another 12 pounds. Look at Culpepper in his prime, he was very mobile despite waying more than half of the DEs in the league....now he's too heavy but pry cuz his body is past its prime. If that 12 pounds is fat that is a different story...but he's primarily a pocket passer so the extra weight could help him absorb more punishment.
