No need to throw money at Simms, and a few other moves and Allen might have well over $30 millioin in FA.  I expect him to spend every cent of it trying to get the Bucs back on track next year......Gruden and Allen need a good year.

Freeney still technically a possibility, isn't he?  I mean, I know it's hard to imagine the Colts not finding a way to resign him, but I hadn't heard anything about him signing an extention.

Gruden and Allen will want to make an impact next year because it could be their last in Tampa if we have another losing season.  Spending cap room doesn't cost you anything in the future, so they may as well spend it.  Even if they use next years free space to extend a couple of players and give them a roster bonus, it is better that than not using the cap space.

Maybe we use both to aquire another first rounder. Simeon Rice may be a big piece of bait come draft day. I have a strange feeling that we will be major players in New York losing Rice, Kelly, and maybe even Phillips for some picks.
