...with the American Commander in Afghanistan Stanley McChrystal talking about the situation on the ground then his own President did.

Obama met with Stanley McChrystal for 25 minutes on the tarmac in Copenhagen.  Guttenberg talked with him for 35 minutes in Kabul...

Go figure!

Do you know the difference between the Defense Minister of a country and a President? Do you think Sec Robert Gates talks to GEN McChrystal on a regular basis? (Absolutely, he does). The Germans have lost several of their soldiers in Afghanistan over the 8 yrs that they (and we) have been there and have a vested interest in the current and future strategy. It only makes sense that their Defense Minister gets briefed by the senior commander in that theater.

Find something else to complain about.

Several soldiers is an understatement.  142 so far.

Never know, Guttenberg could be chancellor sometime soon.  He looks to be on the fast track.

Let's be honest here, we will never really agree on 90% of issues on this board so save your breath.

Well, I do believe one of Obama's titles is "Commander and Chief of the Armed Services", I would think more than 25 minutes would be in order.

Then again I don't know how many other times Obama and McChrystal have met.

I do think BHO needs to put more attention on Afghanistan and Iraq, and less on Cap and Trade bills and HC committee meetings. Foreign relations should be every President's "Job #1" and his predecessor left him plenty of problems to fix, so get to it.

Obama has shown some problems with multi-tasking. He doesnt seem to be able to handle more than one issue at a time and because of that, nothing is getting done. He spent the last 5 months pushing for Healthcare reform which now looks dead in the Senate. He's now pushing off illegal immigration and cap and trade to sometime next year and considering it is an election year...don't expect any progress there either. He's spent the last 6 months thinking about Afghanistan and still can't make up his mind. Meanwhile our economy is getting worse with some experts predicting 13% unemployment by the end of next year.

And Democrats think they are going to win seats in 2010? HA!
