This is only group 7 and doesn't include Spencer or Okoye for example. Abiramiri's figures don't thrill

1. Gaines Adams      Clemson      4.64
2. Jacob Ford    Central Arkansas    4.65
3. Baraka Atkins    Miami (Fla.)    4.69
4. Tim Crowder    Texas    4.69
5. C.J. Ah You    Oklahoma    4.70
6. Antwan Applewhite    San Diego St.    4.73
7. Justin Hickman    UCLA    4.75
8. Dan Bazuin    Central Michigan    4.77
9. Victor Degrate    Oklahoma St.    4.77
10. Victor Abiamiri    Notre Dame    4.80

Yeah, not exciting for V-Abi - I'd like to see the first 10, and how he does in the  short shuttle though.  He seems to play a lot faster than 4.8.

hmmmm,

I'm thinking that if Cleveland doesn't covet AP, they may just trade down and draft Adams to play the DE in their 4-3 system. That's great speed for a DE, but he's a little light in the pants for a 4-3 defense. I'd still like to have him and throw 10-15lbs on him because he can play the run. He had 16 TFL IIRC, last season.

Yep, I really don't want my DL running 40 yards, if he's fast at 10 and 20 then it is good enough for me.

He did 25 reps which is about average right now.

Watching it on NFL network, Okoye didn't impress either.... He might not be a workout guy.  Looked great in the D-line drills at the Senior Bowl.

He packed on a fair amount of weight, he might not be carrying that weight well - he added 10+ lbs in a not very long time.

The defensive linemen worked out this morning. In the first group of 25 guys, 22 ran. Ikaika Alama-Francis (Hawaii), whose father Joe was the first Hawaiian-born quarterback to play in the NFL (played for Green Bay for two years in the late 50s), didn't run for medical reasons (pectoral surgery). Jamaal Anderson (Arkansas) was also injured, and Kareem Brown decided to sit out, choosing to run March 3 at Miami instead. Some of the fastest times were turned in by Gaines Adams (Clemson) with a 4.66, Baraka Atkins (Miami) with a 4.69, and Tim Crowder (Texas) surprised everyone with a 4.74.

Alan Branch of Michigan measured 6-5¾, 324 pounds and recorded 33 lifts, while running a 5.08. Adam Carriker of Nebraska (6-6, 296) had 33 lifts and ran a 4.85.

Well more group 7 results for Abiamiri's group but either he's not good or he's not doing this stuff because he's not in the top 10 anywhere:

Carriker clearly helped himself.

One guy I haven't heard mentioned with the Bucs - who I liked when I saw him play - is Keith Jackson, Jr. He might be a nice post-round 1 option at DT.

Again, Adams is showing his stuff. In perhaps his worst showing he runs a 7.17 3 cone drill, which while not in the Top 3 of his group is quite impressive. The guy can get around the field in a hurry, change direction too. I'm reading 'quick twitch' all over this guy. If we're looking for pure pass rushers, he is that and then some.

With the new focus on increasing size on the DL, and seeing his versatility at the Senior Bowl, you wonder if Carriker isn't the #1 DL on the Bucs' draft board

Where do you see that?

http://www.nfl.com/combine/story/10023350   He's in group 8 but he's not in the top 10 3 cone, 40 times, broad jump or vertical jump. He did lift an impressive 29 reps. Is NFL network not reporting his scores?

Adams is listed as group 7 in your earlier list.

If he pushed 29 reps, that's pretty big - he said in the WaPost that he wouldn't lift and in a "red flag" moment, admitted that strength wasn't his bag and he wanted to work on it first.
