In watching the replay a few times I noticed that clayton lost the ball while rolling over to get up, not while on his back. If clayton holds on to the ball (and I know he needs to hold on to the ball) but if he holds on to the ball, when he rolled over and got up, witch were all in the same motion of the catch and strip of the ball, does he get to keep running,or would he be considered down by contact? I'm still so confused!

if he held on to the ball they would have called him down by contact. thats why this play is such crapthe whistle should have been blown as soon as he landed on his back.
