They somehow decided that it was ok to show Minnesota vs Iowa or Yale vs Harvard but not one coverage channel of the hometown Bulls?

Nah we have Verizon Fios; but we do get the NFL Network 24/7 which is worth it's weight in gold.

I'm sure USF would want it to be wherever it could reach the most fans and alumni. Problem is it's not totally up to them ... Channel 28 had the game but then buckled under pressure for ABC to show OSU-UM.

bullspit, negotiate a deal that gets you on TV in your home market.  Same thing with the basketball program.  Had a game the other night playing on brighthouse.  You want to be big time, you better make sure you're on a TV station that people can see.  I can't even go to a sports bar to watch the damn thing usually.
