if it was about stats

If it was about stats Case Keenum would have the lead at QB and Donald Buckram, Ryan Matthews, and Jac Rodgers would all be above LaMichael James - but it's not.

if it was about quality of opponents... Tebow would be around where Kellen Moore is. Maybe Keenum should win it, hes probably played as many ranked teams as Tebow.

Yeah, good call.  BSU has the 96th ranked schedule and Houston has the 98th ranked schedule.

Homer on.

Boise has played a higher ranked opponent than Florida has.

Technically that is true for 2 more weeks. Oregon is ranked 8th, Florida's highest opponent is LSU at 15.

For 2 more weeks anyway.

He said "was," so I took it as past tense - as in when the game was played.  When Florida played LSU, they were #4.  When BSU played Oregon, they were #16.

Even so, if he's banking on a 2 week window, it's still just as weak a point.

this is news? Fights happen everywhere. I broke up a drunk Oregon fan punching a USC fan, a few weeks ago. It sucks but it happens everywhere.

It's news that a player's mom got punched in the face.  Fights aren't news, assaults on middle-aged women are.

Blazers management got beer dumped on there head in Houston for the playoffs. Stuff like this happens all over, in all sports.

Devils advocate here; then why post the story about the water bottle hitting the cheerleader and the ride fans?

well how many times are cheerleaders assaulted, how many times are fights in the stands... one is common one isnt.

That's a pretty liberal use of the word "assaulted" .... I guess, technically, maybe it was but that's kind of a dramatic way to put it.
