Rays win in Upton's arbitration case:

Time for him to step up and earn that money and a long term commitment.

I'll start it since no one else has.

Kelly Shoppach anyone?  And it didn't even cost us BJ Upton  ;)

Not thinking about trading CC right now, plenty of internal options for 2B and RF, and bolstering the bullpen the top offseason priority, but probably not acquiring an established closer  >:(

Talk about Bradley for Burrell just won't die:

According to Joel Sherman of the New York Post, the long-rumored trade between the Chicago Cubs and the Tampa Bay Rays that would see Milton Bradley and Pat Burrell switching addresses is "still a strong possibility."

Sherman botes that both players are set to make $9 million in 2010, but Bradley's $12 million salary in 2011 is the snag. His hunch is that the Cubs would have to eat at least half of that to make the deal work.

If the Cubs are adamant about trading Bradley, they could do worse than Burrell, but essentially they'd be paying Burrell $15 million next season, and he's a poor defender with a recent track record of neck and/or back problems.

Perhaps the Cubs could turn around and flip Burrell to an AL club to acquire a piece Lou Piniella needs.

Is this going to turn into another 80 page arguing thread?
