He was never clutch in college either, so I really don't think it was Schiano.

Tell that to FSU fans.

Oh you mean his ONE 4th quarter comeback when he threw two stupid interceptions that were dropped? Yeah. That's clutch.

You know what was unheard of? Aaron Donald's combine performance. When was the last time that a 285lbs DT put up the numbers of a freak linebacker? Has it ever happened? I can't remember if it has. I mean the dude ran the same 40 as Johnny Manziel at 285lbs and nobody bats an eye.

In terms of the "nobody bats an eye" part, I think you're being overly sensitive as a big Donald fan. He was one of the big stories of the combine, a fast riser after testing and one of the darlings of the draft analysts.

They have the 10th pick but have meet with Clowney and spent significant time with Watkins.

since you need things spelled out for you apparently:  Welcome to silly season, ladies and gentlemen.

With the draft just three weeks away, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport has sifted through the white noise to bring us the following juicy morsels:

Let's start in Detroit, where the Lions loom as candidates to trade into the top five for one of the draft's top prospects, Rapoport said.

One potential target? Clemson wide receiver Sammy Watkins, who staged a pre-draft visit with the team Tuesday. Vice chairman Bill Ford Jr. and Lions receivers Calvin Johnson and Golden Tate were on hand to greet the young pass-catcher, who figures to be long gone if Detroit stays at No. 10. With the Lions also linked to Texas A&M's Mike Evans, this front office appears hell-bent on adding a top-flight receiver to the mix come May.

However, Detroit also hosted pass rusher Jadeveon Clowney on Wednesday, a visit that makes little sense unless the Lions are preparing for a major move up.

We all know the Jaguars and Browns are game to pick a new quarterback, but who might surprise us? Rapoport named Tampa Bay as one team prepared to dial up a signal-caller at No. 7 after the Buccaneers spent the pre-draft process hosting a laundry list of top prospects at the position.

Rapoport also cited Arizona as a candidate to pick an heir apparent to Carson Palmer at No. 20. That aligns with the latest mock draft from NFL Media's Daniel Jeremiah, who projects the Cardinals to select Fresno State's Derek Carr.

The latest edition of the "Around The League Podcast" covers the Aldon Smith arrest and analyzes the offseason movers and shakers in the NFC East and NFC South.

I find it funny how you guys think drafting a non QB equates to win now.  What the hell are we going to win with two crappy QBs?

As has been proven before, have a top notch D and you can win. Having a good Oline will also help you win games. Draft Donald or Mathews and we help improve the lines immediately, draft a QB high and we sit and watch them ride pine for at least 2 years. I'd rather take a non QB who can contribute now than a QB who we'll waste a pick on to watch him ride pine.

He didn't hurt himself. Surprised by the amount of athleticism in McCown.

I doubt he was saying at the expense of charity. I'm pretty sure he was saying not to risk health playing basketball when he should be focused on football.

That said, I don't agree with the mindset at all, the anti-basketball stance a lot of people take about NFL'ers. It's just another form of exercise to stay in shape, something people enjoy doing that also happens to be good cardio, etc. You can get hurt doing any kind of physical training.

If he were to fall to the second I would take him in a heartbeat. However, I don't see it happening.
