. In the last ten years only two QB's have become viable starters after being drafted in the 3rd round.
probably not too many. Wilson, romo , schaub and Brady off top of my head.

It probably has more to do with the fact we used our 3rd on a back up QB when we could have used the pick on a starter that would have actually made us a better team.
There was no one available  in the 3rd round who was more proven than what we have on roster.
Technically, no players in the entire draft are "proven" since none have ever played in the NFL.

...and it isn't "proven" that Glennon won't be a starter...
It doesn't matter if he's just a "starter". Lots of horrible players have been starters. What matters is if he starts, he needs to be good. That's the challenge.

I agree, which is why I question the thinking we passed on a starter in the 3rdvfor glennon

Why are people so opposed to the kid? Don't you want him to start if he earns it?
Because the chances of him becoming a viable starter are very slim. In the last ten years only two QB's have become viable starters after being drafted in the 3rd round.

The pistol isn't a scheme. It's running the single back formation with the QB lined up in the gun. Gives you all the advantages of passing from the gun and running downhill. Incredible it's taken this long for teams to start using it. It doesn't even need a mobile QB.
I haven't paid enough attention but is the rb lined deeper than usual? Or is the shotgun shallower? Either way NFL defenses will adjust. And QBs accuracy will dip after taking a few shots.

That's fair I believe.

Said Mike & his agent....and NO ONE ELSE!

8 million, every year, for the next 3 years... for a #2 ?!

Worth it! He's not a #2. He's a #1 that plays #2.

Death toll reduced due to a redundancy error. That is great news.

Just brutal.  Thoughts go out to all affected.

I am positive Gerald will give back. He's a good man.
