If the Bucs had a whole team of players like Alex Brown, they would have only had 16 sacks.
lets do some math shall we a whole team of alex brown at 6 per ? that is an increase of 33 pct? 24 or 18?
You do the math. The Bucs defensive ends combined to play 2078 snaps. Brown played 787 snaps all by himself.

I think a guy like Brown in rotation would be alright.  It is just suprising to think they would stray from the youth movement thing they have been singing about...

Give the young guys their reps, a chance to prove themselves...

Been opposed to that thinking for a while.  I still do not think he is a leader, however.

Yes but we don't want an entire team of Alex Browns, we just don't want one spot of Tim Crowder or heck at 4 years 10m let him be the rotational guys with White.
What's so bad about Crowder?

As I said, the only way Brown fits is if the Bucs don't get a first or second tier RDE out of the draft. Then Brown would be fine in rotation with White for a year.

The Bucs defensive ends were only eligible for 2078 snaps in 2009. Four players playing the amount of snaps Alex Brown played in Chicago would have been on the field for 3148 snaps.

Rumor is he agreed to a deal with the Saints.

"Adam Schefter tweeted Brown reached a 2 year agreement with Saints"

I do not tweet, so I am not confirming the information.

Reporting it's a done deal now on ESPN 1000 in Chicago. Well, that's just great. Guess the Bucs can roll up that red carpet and welcome mat.
