LOL. Well, since Simms wasn't traded by the trade deadline, they're either thinking about releasing him or just keeping him as a great backup and mentor to Grads.

Well he recived a tender so that is guaranteed money.  Once they need a roster spot for McCown I suspect he will be placed on IR.  Then he will leave in FA because I don't think he wants to stay in Tampa, and Gruden is now moving in a different direction.

He is as good as gone. I don't think even if Gradkowski sucks the rest of the season will we resign Simms. We'll just use McCown or get a vet in here who knows the west coast offense to be our QB. Gradkowski has proven, already, that a QB who fits the system here is going to be way more successful than one who doesn't. You simply cannot plug a square peg into the round hole that is the WCO.

As someone who held out faith that Simms could be the franchise QB this team has always been looking for........dude give it up. Jon Gruden could get down on his knees and offer him a knobjob and Simms will refuse. Simms is gone whether the Buccs want him back or not. Chances are the Buccs don't want him back.
