Very good contract structure.  Patience prevails and the Bucs landed a young defensive player for a moderate price.

BTW that Gaines sig is making me cry.....tears of joy. 8)

I know CEE over on the TBBBB is negative about ANYTHING Gruden or Allen do. We could trade Clayton for Peyton straight up and he would find something wrong with it.

Had to edit my fingers go faster then my brain sometimes.

Yeah and Mcirish, they are like 4 or 5 people there that brainwash the rest of the board.
Same with PEII.

Ohh I this is the best signing so far. I would expect him to play SLB with Brooks on the otherside and Ruud in the middle.

I still got my fingers crossed we get a good safety in the draft.

Good year if your team needs a safety in the Draft, tbf.  Outside of Landry and Nelson the two 1st rounder, great 2nd round talent like Meriweather (my preference), Weddle, or Rouse would be welcome additions.

I prefer Meriweather as he provides solid tackling with speed and the ability to cover, which is why there's some talk he can even play Nickel or Dime corner on occasion.

I really think with all these signings that the only weak area left is safety.  I think if we grab a guy early in the 2nd round, we will have a nice rounded team unlike last season.

Any safety draft prospect you favor, tbf?

I really really would love to have Nelson, but I'm sure he will be taken by the time we get our 2nd round pick.  I've heard good things about Landry and Meriweather  so I would be happy with any of the 3.

Griffen is pretty underrated and might be there with the 2a.

Landry goes before Nelson in my opinion so NO WAY he is there at 2A - if for some odd reason he is we sprint to the podium with that card.

Landy is almost a lock to be a top 10 pick.  I see Reggie Nelson going as a top 20 pick.

Landry and nelson are top 15 for right now after their impressive combine/pro day numbers...wouldn't mind merriweather(1st choice) or griffin from texas drafted by the bucs

a great fit for us. he will replace quarles at middle linebacker i take it then?

I doubt that, Id say take over for Nece!

i wasnt sure if he played outside or in. i think then he would be a great fit in nece's spot. i think nece is better coming off the bench. small and fast cato is, which is perfect for our cover 2 defense

I believe Colts run the same D we do and June played the same spot as brooks does here. So he would be very familiar with the D and if Brooks did miss a game or retired at some point, June would the perfect guy to fill his shoes.  Its big shoes to fill and I'm glad we finally addressed that Brooks wont be here forever.
