Amazing - another post from you - without one infinitesimal original thought

With all these draft picks. I FULLY expect the Rays to draft OFFENSIVE prospects. Guys that can hit for a good average and get on base. I want to bring in some quality young bats in.

Future at 2B, SS, and 3B is pretty much set in stone. Looking for a big bat at 1B, potential DH guy, upgrade at RF, and upgrade at LF. The rest of them just draft pitchers.

Hopefully the guy they just drafted, Sale, fills one of those holes.

Rays sign Felipe Lopez:

I guess he can play SS in a pinch.

Rays sign RHP Juan Cruz for bullpen help. He's got good stuff but his control sucks. Lets see if Hickey can work his magic like he did with Balfour, Garza, etc........

Jacob McGee will be a reliever. Good news.

He is my favorite as the closer for the future and possibly even this year.

Well that was predictable.

There was a lot of speculation he could be used as a starter in Durham, while being in a relief role was more likely, I'm glad it is official.

Agreed.  He's not Billy Wagner, but he's close enough to give him a shot.

Random but, If the Rays lose Longoria via free agency I might just quit watching baseball all together.

It must suck being a Cardinals fan with Pujols likely to sign with another team next season.

Considering that's like 10 years away I wouldn't freak out yet...

I don't think Pujols goes anywhere. IMO they will pony up before he hits open waters. He is the franchise they would be done without him.

Sonny was in midseason form on Tuesday, giving up 5 dingers in frickin' Spring Training game.

Crappy STing so far.

Manny is looking pretty good though, hopefully he puts together a big year for us.
