I agree with that... remember that stretch last season he was throwing for tons of yards and it was all great and espn was gushing over him and that he finally has figured out how to play the position and then he converts back to his old self and flicks kids off after the game lol

Michael Smith is a wannabe NFL insider who constantly licks Vick every chance he gets. He said that Vick will complete over 60% of his passes this year and will have the best season of his career.

Has anyone else noticed how much Smith:

A. Is a one of the worst NFL "insiders" on the planet.

B. Slobs all over Vick every chance he gets.

ESPN continues to push out garbage, over and over again. When will it stop?

I predict that Simms will complete 89% of his passes this season and will win 22 regular season games this season.

It won't stop, because it doesn't have to.

DTG is right, ESPN's only 'rival' is the underground that composes of blogs / websites a la Deadspin.

Vick is who Vick is at this point. Everyone keeps waiting for a guy in his 7th NFL season to "get it". 7th season, the whole "young QB" thing is long past.  Bad news kids, he's gotten what he's gonna get and he is who he is. He's a guy you have to live with being a 55% passer, just better than 1:1 TD:INT and a lot of big plays out of his legs. That's what he does, it might never be enough, but is is what you have to find a way to deal with as his coach.

All posts are opinions in case you are too stupid to figure that out on your own without me saying it over and over.

Thanks to NFL Network I never have to watch ESPN. Total Access covers the league way more accurately because they get their news from the teams themselves.  They also cover all 32 teams where ESPN has an Northeast bias. Also ESPN has terrible draft coverage because outside of Kiper, their other football experts don't research the draft prospects and team needs. For example, they were predicting the Bucs would take Cromartie or a corner in the 1st round last year, when if you researched the team would see they find their Tampa 2 corners in the mid rounds.
Path to the Draft on NFL Network is great because it does a way better job of covering more than the 1st round talent and team interests. The same goes for baseball except even worse. If you watched sportscenter you wouldn't realize there are 30 teams and you would think that the Yankees and Red Sox are the only teams worth watching. For baseball your better off with your local fox sports or comcast sports, that is until the new MLB directv deal and the MLB channel.

And you have that same two game stretch every damned season when all the idiot pundits claim that he's finally gotten it.  They seem the forget they say the same thing every season and it's never true!

Man that is so true.  He's turned the corner more times than most NASCAR drivers.

Just saw Michael Smith on Espn Live and he said that Tampa doesn't need Calvin Johnson, we already have Clayton-Stovall-and Galloway  He says we should go D-line....  This guy said he would be a better fit with the Washington Redskins..

What a joke.. Gruden would not let this cat pass the 4th spot for nothing...

I only agree with this,if CJ was gone..

Bucs-Lightning already World Champions. Rays Next!!!

Michael Smith is a tool.  People want Vick to be smart and decisive because of Vick's "athlete" label.  In some people's minds if you're an elite athlete you must be an idiot.  Michael Smith is aware of this mindset.  He and many others are so desperate to disprove this false mindset that they become delusional.

Michael Smith and all the Vick apologists should look for the following:

swollen lymph glands
painful inflamed blisters develop around infected area
headache
muscle ache
fever
vaginal or penis discharge
infection of the urethra causing a burning sensation during urination
a burning sensation in the genitals
lower back pain
small red bumps may appear in the genital area following earlier symptoms,  later developing  into painful blisters, which crust over, form a scab, and heal

Cris Collinsworth could give Smith a run for his money in the Vick love contest. He actually started the Falcons-Bucs game a couple of years ago with "I can't wait to see Michael Vick."
Of course, the Bucs D promptly shut him down and knocked him cold thanks to DB.
