He very well could be. I can't deny he looked like garbage in preseason. However, his size/speed ratio give him potential and apparently the Bucs are not ready to say he is a dud....which is reasonable. He is a rookie that has never played a down in a real game so it's hard to say he sucks. My guess is some team would sign him to their PS if we cut him.

Lumpkin on the other hand is in year 5 and has never done anything in college or the NFL to make anyone think he has anything to offer. He seems to be king of mediocre at everything.

Jdouble I actually like your idea of cutting an underperforming vet and signing a rookie. Sounds good to me for some reason...... Ah!
Look how it worked out last year. Ditch derrick ward picked up blount.

I actually like Gametimes's (I think it was him) idea of Preston Parker as a 3rd down RB. I don't know if he can pass protect or not, but at 6ft even 205lbs, he has the build for it, and he obviously has the hands, quickness, and running ability. Next time Rah or Dom does one of those deals where they take questions from fans, someone should bring it up. Plant a seed so to speak.

Not gonna lie, Sproles would have looked nice to me in red and Pewter.

And with the first pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select Teddy Bridgewater, Quarterback, Louisville.

Have you seen Bush in Miami? I don't understand how people still don't realize he sucks. Sproles is a huge upgrade for the Saints.

The Colts took Spann off IR and released him. He took an injury settlement because he didn't want to sit out the whole year. I'm in his FF league and he says he the Hami is good and he is ready to go.

first of i think he's a way better pass catcher the Sproles..and he blocks better too ..wich its probably not saying much...but had Sproles been in the Dolphins i would have the same impact that Bush has had...i understand he's not an every down back but neither is Sproles

Sproles does everything well. If he was 4 inches taller he'd be a #1 back. When he runs, he goes north & south.

Bush is a receiver and a kick returner than shouldn't even be called a running back, and he runs east & west but never gets anywhere.

We really do need a speedy, change of pace back.  A guy that can give this team a boost of speed/a HR threat.  We'll have to wait until next offseason though, IMO.  I don't see a speedy shifty back that is available and I don't see Dom trading for one.  If Dom had seen one out there that he liked he'd have picked him up already.

I really like the idea of drafting that Rainey kid out of UF.

How about Rainey and Demps if they fell to us?

..and Bush is often injured.

Sproles would have been a PERFECT fit here. I'd rather see this team invest in O-Line help in the draft early and pick up a FA or UDFA back with some speed.

I like Sproles but I don't think his pass protection is any good which is what we need at that third down back position.

he's actually a good blocker.  but no point in beating a dead horse.
