Fans loved Fisher,
Huh? I could've taken him or left him.

Same here

And here as well.

Was never high on the Fisher king. Now Marty-ball? Absolutely.

Well, for the record, the Glazers have wanted to bring in Sean Peyton, Mike McCarthy, Bill Bellichek, Jim/John Harbaugh, and and Tom Caughlin, but they've been busy the past few weeks.

LOL

Same here lol..

Using him as an example is not a personal endorsement.

Respectfully, y'all miss the point.

We've accepted being second class and that is ok with most of you.

Does it surprise anyone that we are courting the NFL's undesired coaches?

Marty is my top reasonable candidate here. He hasn't been in NFL since '06, almost 70, but top of our list!

Everything is going to be on a budget.

Nothing new.

I don't agree with everything in the article, but do think there are some valid criticisms. I was certainly not a Fisher fan, but do find it odd that we were never truly in the running whatsoever. Especially since he 100% fits the criteria laid out as to what type of coaching candidate we were looking for. Experienced coach with prior success, etc. One has to wonder why it is that neither side even bothered to contact one another when he seemingly was a perfect match to at least be interviewed for the position. My guess is that the reason for that might be because this writer isn't 100% wrong in his analysis.

Can you provide a list of the available coaches that all of the NFL owners are clamoring to hire?

Yep. Glazers were not interested in paying that kind of salary and Fisher's agent knew it. So neither side wasted their time.

That's the scenario that makes the most sense.

well Fisher did meet the requirement of a experienced and fairly successful HC who could bring a decent staff and might generate some fan excitement.  Very odd indeed that there were no talks between Fisher and the Bucs.

Second that. 6 playoff appearances in 17 yrs doesn't excite me at all.

I thought Lovie said he wanted quickness & speed, even at the QB position?

Fisher picked the job where he could handpick his GM and have control of personnel.   Bucs werent looking for that....

Almost the same as the Bucs. Are Bucs fans satisfied with that?

does anyone here really think Sherman is a better coach than Fisher?  Yet we were willing to talk with one and not the other.
